Donna Young, 81 of Iowa City formally of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, May 27 , 2018 at a care facility in Iowa City. Memorial Services will be held 10:30am Saturday, June 2 , 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donna was born on March 12, 1937 in Jackson, NE. the daughter of Daniel and Irene Hodgins. She lived in Hinton, Iowa most of her life. Donna married James Daniel Young on Dec. 31, 1959 in South Sioux City, NE.  Donna ran the D & J Café in Hinton, Iowa from April 1985 until 2008.

Survivors include; Ed and wife Patty Young of Iowa City, Terry and wife Mary Jo Young of Haverhill Iowa, seven grandchildren; Faith, Ben, Heather, Adam, Erica, Jacob and Jason, ten Great Grandchildren; Phil, Claire, Alexander, Teagan, Charlotte, Josephine, Harrison, Harper, Xander and Daxton, five brothers; Pat Hodgins, Doug Hodgins, Emmett (Robyn) Hodgins, Steve (Mary) Hodgins, Ronald Hodgins, and sister Rose McNaughton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim and son Barry Lynn, five brothers; Jim, Bobby, Jerry, Tommy, and Paul Hodgins, and two sisters; Betty Newburn, and Margaret Hodgins.
