Donna Marie Keairns

Donna Marie Keairns, 82, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Donna was born on June 8, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa to Maynard and Irene (George) Verdoorn. She grew up in North Sioux City, South Dakota and attended school in Jefferson, South Dakota.

She was united in marriage to Robert Keairns, Sr. on January 10, 1960. Donna was a wonderful mother who loved raising her children and going on family trips to Adventureland and other amusement parks.

Donna enjoyed going bowling, crocheting dolls, and she especially loved being around her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Robert, Sr., her 9 children: Lisa (Ron) Coon, Doris (Jim) Thomason, Janet Mae (Bruce) Brunk, Robert (Amy) Keairns, Donna (Leo) Carlberg, Peggy Keairns, and Diane (Mike) Newman, Sally (Todd) Miller, Joann Keairns; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
