Donna Jensen, a long time Sioux City resident, passed away on January 30, 2023, after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 83. She was in the presence of her loving family. No services are planned as Donna wished to spend eternity among the oceans.  Her ashes will be spread off the Island of Hawaii and Tonga at a later date.

Donna was born in Estherville, Iowa on March 30, 1939, to Paul F. and Wilda (Thomson) Freeman. Donna grew up in Cylinder, Iowa with her three siblings, Paul W. Freeman, Bob Freeman and Margie Freeman. Donna graduated from Cylinder High School and then from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa with a degree in education.  Donna married Roger Jensen on June 5, 1960. Donna was a devoted and most loving mother to her two children, Annette and Robert.

Donna loved the outdoors and always had a garden in the summer raising her tomatoes. Donna enjoyed beach combing in Florida and Hawaii.  Her family (especially great grandson, Hawken) loved her pumpkin bread.  Donna loved all animals on land and sea.  She was an honorary deep-sea explorer.

Donna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roger Jensen; daughter, Annette Clark, Indiana; son, Bob Jensen and his wife, Denise, Hawaii; grandchildren Christy (Tim) Bennett, Nicki Clark and Jay Clark, great grandsons, Hawken and Jensen Bennett, all of Indiana; sister, Margie Cody, Arizona; sister-in-law, Margy Wood, Iowa, and grand-dogs Jet, Kiko, and Nani, Hawaii and Bo, Victor and Daisy, Indiana.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Wilda, father, Paul F. Freeman and her brothers, Paul W. Freeman and Bob Freeman.
