Donald W. Peterson, 72, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at a local hospital. Per his wishes, Donald will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Morningside Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Donald was born on November 3, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Harriet Peterson. Donald joined the United States Army on January 6, 1961 and was honorably discharged on January 18, 1962.

Survivors include his son Barry (Marlo) Hodges, daughters: Danielle (Danny Myers) Peterson and Tracy McLaughlin, all of Sioux City, four loving siblings, and many grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, son Donny, and one brother.
