Donald Dean McCabe Jr., 65 of Lyons Nebraska, died Friday, July 7, 2017 at the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Memorial Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Sioux City.

Donald was born on April 14, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa, The son of Donald and Eileen (O’Donnell) McCabe. He was raised in Sioux City, graduating from East High School. He worked several jobs throughout Sioux City including, Zenith, Sioux City Foundry, Aalfs Manufacturing, and retiring from Hy-Vee Groceries Store. Donald married Peggy Sue Johnson on July 27, 2005 and were together over 40 years.

Donald enjoyed playing Wii Bowling, collecting baseball cards, beer steins and many other items. Donald also enjoyed socializing with friends and family and attending the senior center in Sioux City.

Survivors include His wife, Peggy McCabe of Lyons Nebraska; one brother, Greg McCabe his wife Deborah of Lakeland Florida; and several Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Richard McCabe.
