Dolores S. "Dee" Oregon, 46 of Sioux City, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Services will be 10 am Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Riverside Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church 5-8 pm Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Dee was born on March 5, 1965 in Lisbon, Portugal. She was raised in the Azures Islands, and at age 13 in 1978 the family moved to California. Dee became a United States citizen in 1983. It was a very proud moment in her life.
Dee lived in Philadelphia for about eight years, and later in Germany for over two years. She moved to Sioux City in 1992 and on April 29, 2003, Dee was united in marriage to Mark Oregon. Dee worked as a custodian for the Sioux City Schools and later for the city at the airport.
Dee’s favorite place to go was the beach. She enjoyed her time in San Francisco going to car shows with her husband. She also enjoyed the old market in Omaha.
Dee is survived by her husband Mark, her children, Brianna and Kieron Ahrens of Sioux City, Natasha and Brian Naldzin from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her stepchildren, Ashley and Guy Oregon of Sioux City; her father, Anibal Jurge from California; her siblings Frank and Cindy Jurge from California, Rusa and Larry Milliken of California, Connie and Bill of California and Helena Garcia also from California.
She was preceded in death by her mother Maria.
