Dianne Whitney Gonnerman, 60, of Sioux City, Iowa died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her home in Sioux City. Private family graveside services will be held. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff is in charge of arrangements.

Dianne was born July 2, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Richard and Marilyn (Dahl) Whitney. She grew up in Salix, graduating from Westwood High School. She continued her education at Western Iowa Tech Community College. Dianne married Bryan Struble in 1977. To this union, two children were born, Matt and Denise. They later divorced. She married Neil Gonnerman July 7, 2001. Together they made their home in Sioux City.

Over the years, Dianne enjoyed church education and activities. She liked being outside gardening, working in the flowers and being active and physically fit.

Survivors include her husband, Neil Gonnerman of Sioux City; son, Matt Struble of Salix, Iowa, Denise (Pete) Petersen of Moville, Iowa, Tiffany (Matthew) Prince of Gilbert, Arizona and Brad (Meaghan) Gonnerman of Gilbert, Arizona; 8 grandchildren, Dawson (Ami), Payton, Madison, Lucas, Brynn, Charlie, Emersyn and Joey; father, Richard ‘Dick’ Whitney of Sioux City; brother, Nick (Becky) Whitney of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a sister, Gaylene (Allen) Whitney-Krentz of Akron, Iowa.

She is preceded in death by her mother and sister, Kim.
