Dianna L. Chase

Dianna L. Chase, 67, of Sioux City, IA, passed away January 22, 2026 at a local care center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Dianna was born on October 11, 1958, in Billings, Montana, to Morris and June Paronto. The family later moved to the Siouxland area, where Dianna graduated from East High School in 1976.

She was a devoted mother of four children—three sons and one daughter. Dianna continued her education later in life, graduating from Western Iowa Tech and Briar Cliff University in 1998, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Dianna had a strong passion for caregiving and spent her career serving others. She worked as a corrections nurse at the Woodbury County Jail, in various care facilities, and most recently at UnityPoint Health–St. Luke’s on the orthopedic rehabilitation floor. Her compassion, dedication, and tireless work ethic left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched.

Dianna will always be remembered for her deep love for her family, her horses, and all the animals on her farm. She was immensely proud of her children and later found great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Her Christian faith was an important part of her life. Dianna shared a strong spiritual foundation with her parents and remained active in her faith through church attendance and Bible study.

Dianna is survived by her children, Burton (Holly) Chase, Jeremiah (Danielle) Chase, Amber Chase, and Chris (Les) Chase; her 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; her brother, David Paronto; and her sister, Lorraine Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and June Paronto; and sister, Mary Leach.
