Obituary

Diane Susan Gilmore, age 64, of Sioux City died on Thursday July 7, 2011 at a Sioux City hospital surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness with cancer, Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 12.2011 at 10:00 am from First Assembly of God Church 4420 Cheyenne Blvd with Rev. Al Weiss officiating. Interment will be in the Omaha Valley Cemetery near Homer, Nebraska. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 and a time of prayer & sharing will be held at 7:00pm at the church. Diane was born in Sioux City on June 25, 1947, the daughter of Dwayne and Helen(Little) Fredricksen. She attended and graduated from South Sioux City Community Schools class of 1965. She was united in marriage with Troy Gilmore on June 2, 1968 in South Sioux City, Nebraska .
Diane worked for several years as a demonstrator for the Anderson-Erickson Dairy Company of Des Moines in local grocery stores in Sioux City area as well as selling Avon products and working for Shopko. She was an active member of First Assembly of God Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and had served as a active member of Seasoned Saints.
Diane was a huge fan of Elvis. She enjoyed chatting with friends, and spending time with her entire family. Diane truly enjoyed fishing and camping with all of her family in Minnesota.
She will be missed by her family which includes her loving husband Troy of Sioux City, her son David Gilmore and his wife Carrie(Dunn) and their two sons Isaiah and Ethan of Sioux City, her daughter Holly Gilmore Chase and her husband Burton III , and their three sons Travis, Dakota, and Tyler of Sioux City/ Diane is also survived by her two sisters Cheryl Fredricksen Lay and Kathy Fredricksen Coates both of Sioux City, and two nephews Brian Lay, and Christopher Coates.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and twin daughters Lisa & Lori in 1973.
