Diane Boyd-Wittrock, 72, of South Sioux City, NE passed away surrounded by her family on May 5, 2025.  Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be memorial service on Friday, May 9 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Diane was born on June 20, 1952 in Storm Lake IA to Donald and LaVonne (Bottjen) Boyd.  She graduated from Eastwood High School in Correctionville IA.  In 1968 she married Jerry Wittrock, they later divorced, but remained lifelong friends.  Later in life she met Ron Leiting and spent many happy years with him, until his passing in 2021.  She enlisted into the United States Navy Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1995.  She most recently had been employed at Bush Dry Cleaners, where her managers and co-workers became like family.  She was a member of the American Legion.  She enjoyed crocheting, Nebraska football games and playing cards, as well as lunches with the ladies.  Spending time with her family was the most important thing to her and she also valued time with friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Jennifer Wittrock and Derek (Sara) Wittrock; grandchildren: Ashley and Colton; great-granddaughters: Ella and Alanna; brother, Greg (Terri) Boyd; and furbaby J.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
