Diana K. Vassey, 71 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at a local hospital. No services will be held at this time.

Diana was born February 17, 1954 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Pete and Charlene (Spray) Gentile. She grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from a Sioux City High School.

She was a kind woman who went out of her way to help others, even when she was struggling. When the neighbor boy was abandoned by his own family Diana took him in as her own kid, and when her own family was out in the cold, she was there to open her home. She was our rock and our lives are worse without her. 

She is survived by her son: Juston Vassey and her siblings: Cheryl Myers, Laurie Hembd, and Pete Gentile She will forever be loved and missed.
