Diana Fern Divis

Diana Fern Divis, 77, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away surrounded by her family after a long illness at Unity Point on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.  She was cared for by her husband Norm, granddaughters, Selena and Brittni, and all of her children.  A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Diana was born on July 11, 1948, to Cecil and Leila (Chesley) Kendall.  She had 3 brothers: Melvin, Clifford and Gerald.  Diana attended grade school in Hornick, IA.  She graduated from Westwood Community School in Sloan, IA.  Over the years, Diane married and had 3 children from that union: Shawn, Jeffrey, and Melody.  Later she remarried and had 3 children from that union: Lewis, Angie, and Jenny.  She married Norman Divis on February 12, 2000, together they raised 2 grandchildren: Brittni and Joshua.

Diana worked many occupations, including janitorial, care facilities, and the casino to support her family.  She was also a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.  She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, fishing, dancing, playing cards and going to the casino.  She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 25 years, Norman Divis; children: Shawn Grant, Jeff (Melinda) Sargent, Melody Gonzalez, Lewis (Jazmin) Martin, Angela (Doug) Taylor, Jennifer Lara; 2 stepchildren: Tasha Allen and Rachel Dvork; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Gerald and Clifford Kendall; grandson, Joshua Sargent; and a great-granddaughter, Mailahni Estrada Gonzalez.
