Dennis M Trizila, 79, of Sioux City, IA passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at a local hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 11am Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Morningside Ave. A visitation will begin one hour prior.

Dennis Michael Trizila was born Tuesday, August 8, 1944, in Sioux City, IA to Joseph and Viola Wilcox Trizila. He graduated from Central High School in 1963. He worked in the maintenance department of the City of Sioux City for many years. After Denny’s retirement from the city, he worked at SRTS as a driver until he finally retiring.

Denny was a kind, caring and loving man! He was an avid sports fan, and bowler. Denny umpired many, many games in Sioux City, and was super excited when he participated in a 50 and over softball tournament in Las Vegas! He cared for any injured animal he found. He loved the movie Top Gun, watching it every chance he got. He also enjoyed visiting the Hard Rock in Sioux City from time to time. Denny would do anything for anybody; he had a heart of gold. As a kid he played baseball through adulthood for many teams such as Sioux City Soos, he was always # 15 and played shortstop and second base.

Denny is survived by his children; Lisa Brown, Dawn (Brian) Hindman, Kari Trizila (Daniella Pulido), and Tiffany Ohler; grandchildren; Chantel (Nick Forkiller), Dennis (Karla) Trizila II, Kadi Trizila (Justin Underwood), Jennifer (Tadd) Biederstedt, Stephanie Hindman (Kel Longbrake), Nolan Hindman (Diana Cobian), Steven Hindman, Sarah Ohler, Elijah “Perlas”, Emily Ohler, Rudy Ohler; great-grandchildren; Jordan, Joe, Jacob, JC, Maddie, McKenna, Mason, Kessa, Kelby, and Auggie, and many nieces and nephews, numerous family members and friends; and his ex-wife Jean Loraditch.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bev Trizila, infant brother, brother, Terrry Trizila; and a brother-in-law, Elmer Goodteacher,
