Obituary

Dennis Arthur Sigler, age 58, of Harrisburg, South Dakota, formerly of Sergeant Bluff passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday May 11, 2013 at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday May 17, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Sioux City with Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Interment will follow in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm with the family present 6-8 and a prayer service held at 7:00 pm at the church. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Dennis was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 23, 1954, the son of Leonard A and Minnie (Brunssen) Sigler. He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from East High School with the class of 1974.

Dennis was united in marriage with Brenda Eyer on March 15, 1975 in Sioux City. He worked at Missouri Valley Machinery for 2 years, he then worked at Advanced Industries, worked as a security guard for Norwest Bank. Dennis also worked at Southern Hills Mall, Gateway, and Oak Hills prior to moving to Sioux Falls in 2007. Shortly after moving to Harrisburg, South Dakota, his health failed and he was confined to the Golden Living Care Center in Sioux Falls.

Dennis was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sioux City and he served as custodian at the church for a number of years.

Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking, he was especially fond of his dogs Bart and Sadie, He always enjoyed his family and cherished the time he could spend with them. He loved old time television shows, such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Emergency. He also was an avid fan of game shows on television.

He will be missed by his family which includes his wife of 38 years Brenda of Harrisburg, his three children, Christopher, Andrew, and April all of Harrisburg, his step-brother Leonard Sigler Jr. and three step-sisters Sharon Harmon, Betty Baker and her husband Ken of Sioux City, and Judy Brown of Ashgrove, Missouri.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Delores Randall.
