Dennis Neal Shadbolt, 64, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away of cancer at his home on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Dennis was born in Pierre, South Dakota on July 7, 1959 to Marvin (Bud) Shadbolt and Doris Shadbolt. He attended schools in Chamberlain, S.D., McCook Lake, S.D. and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1977.

Dennis worked construction and was a member of Carpenters Local 948. He enjoyed going to the river, fishing, exercising, taking long walks, bicycling and watching sports…especially the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dennis is survived by his girlfriend Frances Big Bear: her children, Joanie, John and Holly and 12 grandchildren; his mother, Doris Shadbolt; sister Sheila Ogan (Roger Modlin); brothers Gary (Barb) Shadbolt and Keith Shadbolt and 9 nieces and nephews and their families.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Marvin; brothers, David and Ronald Shadbolt; grandparents Albert and Rose Shadbolt, Carl Gunderson and Lila Knittle and his beloved dog, Butch.
