Obituary

Dennis "Droop" James, age 32, of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Sioux City.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with Pastor Gene Stockton of Heartland Community Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 at the funeral home. Dennis was born in Sioux City on March 19, 1982, the son of Harry Edward and Nancy Marlene (Dunn) James. He attended Sioux City Community Schools. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City.

He worked for many years at Rocket Auto Wash where he was known to be a hard worker. Dennis loved dogs, especially pit bulls, he loved playing with his many nieces and nephews and always made sure his friends and family would spend time together. Dennis also loved listening to music, playing Polish Horseshoes, and eating wings at Bob Roe's.

His life will always be remembered by his family which includes his mother Nancy James of Sioux City, his brothers: Phillip of Sioux City, Scott (Brenda) of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Kevin (Kirsten) of Sioux City, and Brad (Krystal) of Sioux City, his sisters: Gerry Kenney (Garry) of Twenty Nine Palms, California, Amy Sulzbach (Jason) of Sioux City, Janet Claeys of Sioux City, and Janice Magnuson (Robert) of Sioux City.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Harry E. James.
