Dennis R. Habben, 70 of South Sioux City, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Pender Care Center in Pender.
Graveside services will be held 9 am Friday, August 19, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 pm Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service.
Dennis was born on May 29, 1941 in Melvin, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Harriett Habben. He attended school in Sioux City. During 1959, he joined the Army National Guard. Dennis worked at several packing houses in the Sioux City/Le Mars area, and later, at Gateway until retiring in the late 1990’s.
Dennis is survived by his son Matthew Habben; his daughter, Michelle Marcau; 1 grand daughter, Jacque; his sister Phyliss Clark; and six brothers, Gary, Vernon, Douglas, Harlan, Gregory and Steven Habben.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
