Obituary
Denise Marie Petersen, 63, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away of cancer on Wednesday, September 23, 2015,
at Touchstone Living Center. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements for cremation are with Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Denise was born on January 21, 1952, in Bloomfield, Nebraska, the daughter of Harvey A. H. and Elsie Sophia (Steffen) Petersen. Denise graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1970 and attended Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University) in Fremont, Nebraska.
Denise spent over 35 years in Los Angeles, California, where she worked as a bookkeeper and in various other jobs in the business field. In 2012, Denise moved to Sioux City, where she resided with her sister.
She will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her sister, Carol Anne (Petersen) Perrin, her nephews, Oherio and Jesse Perrin and their families, her aunt, Lucille Sage, and her cousins and their families.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Felix Perrin.
Denise's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of both the PACE program and Touchstone Living Center for their excellent and compassionate care.
