Denise "NeNe" A. Harrison, 56, of Sioux City, IA, passed away August 22, 2024.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Denise was born on February 4, 1968 in Sioux City, IA to Gary and Lyla (Barngrover) Shupe.  She graduated from West High School in 1986 and went on to receive her associates degree.  She was united in marriage to Chad Harrison on April 16, 1993 in Elk Point, SD.  Denise worked as a receptionist for Homebuilders Association and then as a bartender at South Ridge and Covington for the past 10 years.  Denise was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, and tending to her flower garden.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Chad Harrison; daughter, Kelsey (Jose) Briseno; son, Cody (Sam) Harrison; grandchildren: Lio, Abel, Quinton, Benny, and Halston; sister, Lynette (Brian) Cline; brother, Gary Lewis (Christine) Shupe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Lisa Carter, whom she loved dearly.
