Delores was born on October 6, 1932 in Sioux City, the youngest daughter of Henry "Hank" and Hazel (Roberts) Krause. She was raised in Sioux City as well as other U.S. states, as her dad traveled for work. She attended Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa. Her family made their permanent home in Riverside.
On December 4, 1948 Delores was united in marriage with Rolland "Rod" Rozell. She had one daughter, Sharon, born on August 16, 1950. They made their home in North Sioux City, SD. Delores worked at Swift Dairy and Poultry in Sioux City, IA. She provided daycare services out of her home in North Sioux City for many years. Delores was a talented seamstress with a creative mind. She could find a way to "make due" with any resource she had. She created many crafts with her husband, Rod, doing the woodworking portions. Delores was a Girl Scout leader for both of her grandaughter's troops. She was also a helper at Dakota Lutheran School in North Sioux City in the early 1980's. She enjoyed getting together with the gals to play Tripoly and joke and laugh for hours. Delores also loved camping, on the Missouri River at Cottonwood Heights, with Rod, their granddaughters, and oftentimes their friends or the kids that she babysat. Delores was loving and good natured. She had a smile and a little joke for anybody, saying "You never know who needs a little pick me up during their day." When the great grandkids came along, they were the light of her life. She spent countless hours with her lap full of great grandbabies, scratching backs and giving cuddles.
