Delia Ann Johnson,78 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at a local care facility. She will be laid to rest next to her sweetheart, Marvin LeDean Johnson at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Delia Ann Tennis was born Thursday, November 19, 1942 to Allen Wilson Tennis and Agnes Amelia (Larson) Tennis in Sioux City, IA. She met the love of her life, Marvin LeDean Johnson while growing up in Bronson and they married October 4, 1960 in Long Beach, CA where he was stationed in the Navy. They brought to this union five children Stacy, Marvin Jr, Tammy, Kim and Misti.

Dee started working in Sioux City as an Operator with Southwest Bell, and transferred to Pacific Bell in California when they moved there. She worked there as a Frame Attendant until she retired. Dee was a mother to many. Her home was always open to everyone! She was a kind woman with an amazing sense of humor. She will be missed by many.

Dee is survived by her children, Marvin (Angie) Johnson, Tammy Barriga, Kim (Dave) Loya, and Misti (Brock) Reeves; grandchildren Marvin III, Marcus, David Jr (Lisa), Salvador (Ben), Vicente (Rachel), Jeff (Felicia), Mikey, Amanda, Chloe, Ben, Stacey, Brock Jr., Nick, John and Avery; great-grandchildren  Angel, Alexa, Aiden, Maddex, Charlee, Harper, Elias, and Emmie.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Johnson; her daughter Stacy, her parents, her brothers, Allen and Gene Tennis and her sister, Sharon Parks.
