Debra J. “Debbie” Carlson, 66 of Sergeant Bluff, IA passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at a local hospital.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8pm with family present from 5-7pm Friday, November 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral service of Sioux City.

Debbie was born June 12, 1952 in Sioux City, IA the daughter of Melvin and Bonnie (Jacobs) Harrison. She attended Lawton-Bronson School. Debbie married Ronnie Carlson on November 23, 1992 in Sioux City, IA. She worked for Floyd Valley Packing in the 1970’s and 1980’s, also worked for Sabre Communications for 14 years until she retired in 2011, and then went to work for Sam’s Club until 2014.

Debbie was mainly devoted to her two daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, arts and crafts, and for the last two years Debbie and Ronnie were snowbirds in Texas. She was a member of Sam’s Camping Club.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie, two daughters, Stacy (Will) Scott of Mesquite, TX, Brenda (Tony) Garcia of South Sioux City, one step-son Chad Carlson of Westfield, NE, two brothers Marvin Harrison of Lawton, IA, Melvin “Mick” and (Robbin) Harrison of South Sioux City, NE, one sister Judy (Mike) Peters of Sioux City, IA, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Patricia Malfero.
