Deborah K. Delaney, 64, of Sioux City, IA. passed away Sunday, June 21st 2015 a local hospital. Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 28th at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Sioux City, IA.. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Debbie was born on March 15th, 1951 in Sioux City, IA. Debbie was the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Wakeham) Kennedy. Debbie married Willy Lefler and to this union one child, Rhonda, was born. Debbie and Willy later divorced. Debbie then married Randy Delaney and to this union three children, Katie, R.J., and Jenny were born. Debbie and Randy later divorced.

Debbie graduated from Heelan High School in Sioux City, IA in 1969. Debbie worked at the Sioux City Convention Center since it opened in 1988 and stayed on part time after her retirement two years ago. Debbie loved listening to music, spending time with her family especially her Mother and grandchildren. Debbie also enjoyed gardening her plants, and thoroughly enjoyed her cat, Misty.

Survivors include her mother Mary Kennedy of Sioux City, IA., children: Rhonda (Mike) Lemieux of Ankeny, IA., Katie (fiancé Greg Perrin) Delaney of North Sioux City, SD., R.J. Delaney of Sioux City, IA., Jenny (Travis) Lile of Sioux City, IA., siblings: Terri (Tim) Fitzpatrick of Omaha, NE., Karen Kennedy of Sheldon, IA., Kevin Kennedy of Sioux City, IA., Shawn (Kathy) Kennedy of Omaha, NE., Danny (Julie) Kennedy of Sioux City, IA., Amy Kennedy of Omaha, NE., and Shannon (Jeremy) Kennedy of Sioux City, IA., six wonderful grandchildren: John, Lily, Aaron, Dylan, Jonny, and Mia and one great grandchild Eris. Debbie also had many friends but Jerri Cooperman was very dear to Debbie’s heart.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Ralph Kennedy, dear friend Sue Delaney, and ex-husband Randy Delaney.
