Dean L. Williams, 55, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family following a four year battle with cancer. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Dean was born on February 27, 1963 in  Sioux City to Paul Williams and Ernestine (Ostermeyer) Engle and attended Hinton, Iowa schools. Dean dropped out of high school to help his dad on the farm, he later received his GED.  He married Carol Jensen on January 29, 1990 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

Dean worked for Siouxland Taxi and was also a security guard. He was a science fiction fanatic. Dean loved spending time with family, but especially enjoyed being a grandpa.

Survivors include his father, Paul Williams of rural Hinton, Iowa; mother, Tina Engle of Sioux City; children, Chris Williams and Katilyn (Ryan) Williams-Hogue both of Sioux City; siblings, Hope (Efrain) Arroyo-Beltrane, Kathy Flores, Jeffrey Clark, Andrew Engle, and Don Williams; and grandchildren, Andrew, Krissy, Riley, Kylie, and Mylee.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Carol.
