David Donn Wilde, age 61, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away July 28, 2022, surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Celebration of Life and time of sharing will be 2:00pm Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Waterbury Funeral Service, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with Military Honors provided by the United States Marines. Visitation will be half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dave was born on January 26, 1961, in Sioux City, IA the son of Bonnie (Gurnsey) and Delvin Wilde, Sr. He grew up and attended Sioux City schools. After attending East High School, he served in the United States Marine Corp, something of which he was very proud of.

Dave loved spending time outdoors; fishing, camping, and grilling out. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He also loved listening to music, watching UFC fights, and watching his favorite football teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was the best fix-it and repairman around, especially for his brother, Delvin who had a special skill of breaking things.

Dave never met a stranger. He was a kind and gentle soul who was known for his bright smile. He always had a special fondness and connection with all animals, especially his beloved pets Caesar and Bella.

Family who will cherish his life include his son, David Donn Wilde, Jr., Jason Koppie and his wife, Lindsey; siblings Ellen Church, Delvin (Joni) Wilde, Danny (Susan) Wilde, Larry (Cindy) Wilde, Anthony (Nina) Lamoureux and Toni Archibald, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and a special friend, Amy Wooldridge-Whitlock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Lowell Lamoureux, five siblings: Denny Wilde, Connie Wilde, Terry Church, Jeanne Jacobson, and George Church, and brother-in-law Steve Jacobson.
