David W. "Dave" Peters passed away September 1, 2023, following a battle with lung cancer.  A Memorial service will be held at the First Evangelical Free Church on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Kevin Miller officiating.

David William Peters was born on December 2, 1971, to Frank "Jim" and June (Davis) Peters in Sioux City.  He graduated from West High School in 1989.  David was briefly married to Becky Johnson.  He worked at a variety of jobs.  After an accident, he was forced to stop working for Nic's Fleet Service where he worked as a mechanic.

He was a kind, loving man helping all who were in need - a true "Jack of all trades".  David loved fishing, camping, crafting tools and parts, model railroading, gardening/landscaping, and maintaining a small fishpond.

David is survived by his Mom June; sisters:  Rev. Karen Styers (Norm), Oklahoma City, OK, Christine Riedesel (John), Sioux City, IA; daughter Rose Coover, a special friend Allison Burnette; stepchildren:  Brook, Trent, Brittney, and Breanna Leners, and many friends and family.
