David G. Shook, 67 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Per David’s wishes a cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City is helping family with arrangements.

David was born November 30, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Allan and Sharon (Sogn) Shook. He graduated from East High School in 1976 and continued his education at Morningside College and earned his (BA) degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

He was an avid Hawkeye Fan, and golfer. David also enjoyed doing yard work, building things, and was a homebody. David was one of a kind, a great family man, and would love big and love hard. David will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his mother, Sharon Yvonne Shook, Dawn, Shookie”s Cookie, 2 sons, Shane (Krystle) Shook, Tyler (Krystha) Shook, two daughters, Amanda Shook, Miranda (Bobby) Stott, four brothers, Steve (Marcia) Shook, Mark Shook, Jim (Mary) Shook, sister, Amy Owens, brother-in-law, Steve (Sue) Smith, daughter-in-law, Donna Beck-Willems, and 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Amber; father, Allan, brother-in-law, Scott Smith, sister-in-law, Toni Shook and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
