David L. Pranke, 62, of Sioux City, IA, passed away February 27, 2025 at a local hospital.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service.   Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

David was born on October 25, 1962 in Sioux City, IA to Herman and Kathleen (Hanslip) Pranke.  He graduated from high school in Sioux City.  David was a very social person and enjoyed gaming, sports, and playing basketball.  He also loved dancing, singing karaoke, and listening to country music and Elvis with his mom.

Those left to honor his memory include his mom, Kathleen Thacker; siblings: Sherry Murphy(Mike), Michelle Bell(Dale), and Charles Thacker; nieces and nephews: Kathy Shores, Dustin Bell, David Bell, Jeremy Allen, Nicole Husted, Marvin Bell, and Nicole Murphy; and many great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Pranke.
