Darla S. (Murdock) Fuentes, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Elmwood Care Center in Onawa, IA following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Darla was born September 23rd, 1959 in Sioux City, IA to Roy and June Murdock. Darla was united in marriage with Homero Fuentes June 27th, 1977 and to this union two daughters were born.
Darla worked in housekeeping at various Sioux City businesses and also did in-home daycare. She was thought of as a second Mom to many. Darla was a spiritual woman and passed this on to her children. She taught her daughters the importance of honesty, loyalty, family, and God.

Left to cherish her memory are her Husband, Homero; Daughters, Jennifer (David) Marisa (Tracy); Sister, Shelly (Phil); Brother in Law, Carlos; Grandkids, David, Dora, Anthony, Noah, Lucia; BFF, Mona; and many Nieces and Nephews.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Donnie, Bob, Ricky, Shirley, Marvel, Louise, and Rhoda; Also, her grandson, Nicolas.
