Danny G. Wilkins, 58, of Sioux City, passed away Wedneday, August 8 , 2018 at a local hospital.  Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Community of Christ Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Dan was born on December 23, 1959 in Perry, Florida, son of J.W. and Betty J. (McCall) Wilkins. Dan lived in San Diego, California where he met Denise Bates. Together, they were married on April 20, 1985 in Lakeside, California. To this union, three children were born.

Dan was in the rebar business and worked for JL Davidson in California for twenty-seven plus years. His nickname at work was "Welded Hoop Man."

Dan loved spending time with his family, and every year would take them on vacation. He was a very funny man and always had a joke or a riddle to tell.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Denise; children, Stefanie, Joshua (Jessica), and Savannah; mother, Betty Wilkins; brothers, Darrell, Donald, and Derrick Wilkins; brother and sister-in-laws, Tarry, Dana, Nicky, and Roy; and many other family and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, J.W. Wilkins; brother, Dennis; sister-in-law, Barbara; and brother-in-law, Ricky.
