Danielle L. "Dani" Stowe, 36 of Dakota City, lost her courageous battle on Monday, October 25, 2010 surrounded by her family and friends.

Services 10:30 am Friday at the Dakota City United Methodist Church with Rev. Joan Frenzel officiating. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 pm Thursday at the church, with the family present 6-8 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Dani was born on July 28, 1974 in Sioux City. She graduated in 1993 from East High School. During the middle and late 1990’s she worked for the Sioux City Journal. Most recently, Dani was an office manager with A-Team Plumbing & Heating.

Dani was an avid sports mom. She enjoyed family most of all.

Dani is survived by her husband Robert “RJ”; her son Jesse and daughter Cassandra; her mother, Beverly Mattas of Sioux City; her father Koyne Osterbuhr and stepmother Sidney Twohig of Sioux City; her step-father Michael Kuhlmann of Sioux City; her brother Jamie Mattas and his wife Rebecca of Sioux City; and her twin sister Dawn Twohig of Sioux City and her sister Nicole and her husband Kenny Cakebread of Sergeant Bluff; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
