Daniel S. Straw, 16, of Dakota City, NE passed away August 2, 2021.  Memorial Service will be held 5:00 Wednesday August 11, 2021 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 prior to the service.

Daniel was born November 22, 2004 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Daniel Kloss and Nicole Straw. He attended school at South Sioux City Community School. Daniel worked at the Crystal Café in Dakota City. Daniel enjoyed being outside; camping, skateboarding and listening to music. He also loved animals, especially his cat, Lucy.

He is survived by his mother, Nicole (Edward)Smith of Dakota City, father, Daniel Kloss of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers, Kobie Straw and Wattson Smith of Dakota City and one sister, Layla Smith of  Dakota City; maternal grandmother, Penny Straw of Sioux City, paternal grandmother, Christiane (Bill) Hanna of Sioux City and paternal grandfather, Scott Ristau of Sioux City.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Steven Straw.
