Daniel J. Rogers, 49, of Sioux city, passed away on September 28, 2015 at his residence following a 10 month battle with cancer. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Dan was born on June 30, 1966 in Sioux City, the son of Robert Rogers and Rochelle (Brower) Beachy. He attended East High School and received his welders certification from Western Iowa Tech. Dan worked for the Humane Society for 8 years and Benson Pest Control for 9 years. As a welder, Dan worked for Wilson Trailer, Broy Hill, and AE Trucking in Missouri.
Dan was an Avid Denver Broncos fan, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his Dog, Spirit.
Survivors include his father Robert (Patricia) Rogers of Sergeant Bluff, mother Rochelle (Jack) Beachy of Sioux City, significant other Laura Roth of Sioux City, daugthers: Samantha Rogers of South Sioux City, Whitney Boggs of Sioux City, Alyson Rogers of Sioux City, and Chianne Rogers of Sioux City, brother Craig Rogers of Sioux City, sister Tricia Beachy of Sioux City, step brother Robert Dawdy Jr. of Sergeant Bluff, step sister Christina Rogers of Holstein, Iowa, step-sons: Jake, Jonathan, James, and Joshua, seven grandchildren: Christian, Landon, Kaitlynn, Cydnee, Emma, Paislee, and Angelo Jr.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife Twila, and one step sister, Lisa.
