Daniel Patrick
Garvin Sr.
April 16, 1956 – January 24, 2024
Daniel Patrick Garvin Sr, of Jackson, NE passed away at home with his devoted wife at his side until the end. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place at a later date.

Dan was born on April 16,1956 in Sioux City, IA to Patrick and Helen (Montagne) Garvin. Dan graduated high school from South Sioux City, NE in 1975. Dan worked for his dad at Garvin’s Salvage then eventually taking over when his dad passed. Dan was an ornery kid, who never changed up until his death. Dan loved shenanigans, he loved telling stories of his past(good and the bad) and he loved to make those who knew him best-laugh. He was always one to know how to make light of all situations with sarcasm or one of his famous phrases. But most of all Dan loved his family.

Dan is survived by his wife Peggy, of 47 years. Their children, Sue(Shawn) Sullivan and Danny(Christine Semple) Garvin. Grandchildren-Abby(Noah), Alec, Patrick and Colin-that will all miss him like crazy! Siblings-Linda Cravens, Doug Garvin, and Patty Clinkenbeard. Along with many other loved ones and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws and many friends over the years.
Irish prayer “Grieve not…nor speak of me with tears…but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you.”
Thank you to Hospice of Siouxland.
