Dana Beeghly, 81 of Sergeant Bluff, died on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Dana was born on October 25, 1932 in Pierson, Iowa, the son of Dale and Vera (Snyder) Beeghly. He graduated from Pierson High School in 1952. Upon graduation, Dana worked for the Farmer’s Elevator in Pierson. He also worked for service stations in Moville and Lewistown, Montana. Dana also worked for Woodbury County REC for eight years. He was in the antique business since 1972.

In January of 1956, Dana married Connie Christophersen. They later divorced and he married Bonnie Martins. She passed away in 2005.

Dana is survived by his three children: Debby Walker of Glenham, SD, Shari Beeghly of Fort Pierre, SD, and Kathleen (Doug) Beeghly Fliehe of Clare, Iowa, and grandson Daniel Fliehe of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He also leaves his special friend, Pat Aldrich of Onawa, Iowa.

Dana was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clair, and nephews Karl and Ordel.
