Dalonna R. "DeDe" Swan, 66, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Services will be held at 11:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Sunnybrook Community Church. A visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
DeDe was born on November 14, 1953 in Sioux City, daughter of William and Shirley Campbell. She worked at a multiple of care centers, tended bar, and drove semi for a variety of business in the Siouxland area. Most recently, DeDe worked at Sunrise Retirement Community for 15 years, before retiring due to illness.
Some of hobbies included playing cribbage and darts, gardening, and planting flowers. She loved being outdoors, sitting by a campfire, and watching the birds in her backyard. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR with her late husband, Allen.
Survivors include her children, Troy (Ryann) Leekley, Mark (Jess) Leekley, and Lee (Amanda) Moerman, Deanna (Jeff) Burke, and Tammy Knibbe; grandchildren, Cole, Skylar, Syndar, Quinn, Chloe, Trevor, Michael, Jon, Jessica, Justine, Blake, Travis, Jacob, Christopher, and Jordan; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Kevin Campbell and Connie (Brian) Reagan; brother-in-law, Chuck (Pam) Swan; and sister-in-law, Deeann Teska.
DeDe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Swan; husband, Harold L. Moerman, Sr.; sisters, Bobby and Lisa; grandson, Andrew; brother-in-law, Dean; and her beloved pets, Missy, Sonya, and Rocky.
