Dale R. Stingley, 81, of Sioux City, Iowa died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at a local nursing home. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dale was born September 29, 1941, in Carroll, Nebraska the daughter of Howard and Audrey (Servene) Stingley. He lived in Waterbury, Nebraska, moving to South Sioux City as a young man and graduating from South Sioux City High School. Dale entered the Army in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1967. He met Lorna Mann Waddell in 1989. Together they made their home in Sioux City.

Over the years, Dale worked as a landscaper, owning and operating Ferdig Contracting. He loved antique cars, going to car shows and rebuilding them.

Survivors include his Life Partner, Lorna Waddell; three children, Jeff (Angie), Jennifer and Anastasia (Mike); one brother, Harlon (Pat); Lorna’s son, Danny (Tammy) Mann; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Kim and baby Dale; five brothers and one sister.
