Dale "Punk" Schager, 78, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his residence. Per his request, Dale will be cremated and burial in Bronson, IA will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Dale was born on May 22, 1937 in Hinton, IA, the son of Lloyd and Ella (Koengni) Schager. He graduated from Bronson, IA in 1955. Dale married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Moos, on June 28, 1957 in Bronson. He was a master carpenter and later worked at Payless Cashways as a yard foreman, retiring at the age of 52 due to his health.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, children: Twins Diana Hanna and Darla (Pat) McGrath, Dennis Schager, Dewey (Linda) Schager, Bob Schager, Candace (Tony) Carey, Desiree Schager, and Matt (Alison) Hanna, brothers: Lowell (Norma) Schager and Dean (Mary) Schager, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brother Buell, sister Beverly, three grandchildren, and one great grandson.
