Dale E. Frank, 65 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, March 20 , 2021 at a hospital in Nebraska,surrounded by his family. Memorial Service will be held 7:00pm Friday, March 26 , 2021 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until service time at the funeral home.

Dale Edward Frank was born January 31 , 1956 in Scotland, South Dakota to Edward and MaryAnn (Simeon) Frank. He graduated Sergeant Bluff High School in 1974 and wed his sweetheart Jean Martin June 28 , 1975. Dale started Frank’s Asphalt in 1981 with his dad and worked until end of the season in 2017.

Dale and Jean raised their three children in Sioux City/Sergeant Bluff. Dale loved his wife and his children but his world revolved around his grandchildren (He always said he wished he had grandchildren first!). In his younger years he was in a bowling league and enjoyed helping Wilson Eisley out in the pits at stock car races and hunting with his friends. Dale enjoyed ice fishing trips every January; snowmobiling and snow skiing with his kids.

He became a member at Harbor Club in 1997 and enjoyed his time camping and boating on the weekends with his family and camp friends. He was a social butterfly and enjoyed telling stories, usually the same seven. He looked forward to his week vacations at North Point every June which became a whole family trip.He loved catching walleye, or at least trying; relaxing in his chair looking over the lake; and teaching his grandchildren how to cast a fishing rod. In the winter months he enjoyed spending time in his shop just tinkering or doing woodworking. He enjoyed trying to beat the odds at the casinos, although Jean was always the BIG winner.

Dale will be missed by his wife Jean, they were married for 46 years and together for over 50 years; his children Nicole (Troy) Musick, Tonya (Corey) Hansen, and Shane (Nikki) Frank; grandchildren Alexis, Kalei, Emma, Dylan, Tristen, and Jace; siblings Cindi (Tim) Myers, Keith Frank, Sue (Rob) Long,  Sandy (Jake) McClure, Kurt (Lynn) Frank, Val (Ken) Maxfield, Jen Mackey; In-laws Alan (Gloria) Martin, Chris Foster, Kevin (Kelly) Martin and many extended family and dear friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents Ed & MaryAnn Frank.
