Crystal Balsley, 43, of Terril, Iowa lost her fight with addiction and passed away in the early hours of Monday, April 22, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm Tuesday, May 14, 2023, at Waterbury Funeral Home of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Crystal Rae Bell was born Saturday, March 14, 1981, to Beckett and Naydeen (Mosier) Bell Jr. in Cedar Rapids, IA. She grew up in Sioux City, IA attending West High School. Crystal was always very spontaneous, fun loving, and had an unmistakable laugh.  She loved her family fiercely and only the overwhelming power of her addiction drew her away from that.  Crystal’s friends and family will miss her beyond words but take solace in the fact that she is no longer fighting her demons.

Crystal is survived by her husband, David; her children Cheyann Hueschen, Jesse Armstrong, Kael Balsley, Aubrey Balsley, Karissa (Ja’Onte) Horden, and Mackenzie Balsley; grandchildren Eternity and Adalee Bollig; sister Shawn (Chad) Rasmussen; niece Noelle Rasmussen; and nephew Kyler Rasmussen.

Crystal is preceded in death by her parents Beckett and Naydeen, and her grandparents.
