Connie Jo Wilson, 79, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Countryside Senior Living. Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. The visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Connie was born on January 6, 1938 in Hartley, Iowa, to Harold and Della (Groesbeck) LeMay. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1956. Connie was married to Terry Wilson in Sioux City. They later divorced.
Connie, Terry, and their son Jay had a great life together. They enjoyed many New Year's Eve celebrations at their home, snowmobile trips to Lake Okoboji, boating on the Missouri River, along with many other adventures.
Connie worked at Dennis Supply Company as their bookkeeper, and she really enjoyed her job, retiring after over 30 years in 2010. Most importantly, Connie loved spending time with her son, Jay, and the many dogs she had throughout her life. Connie was not only Jay's mother, but also his best friend.
Survivors include her son, Jay Wilson of Sioux City; Jay's half brother, Neil (Amber) Wilson and their children of Denver, CO; sister, Sharon (Bill) Coulson of Atlanta, GA; special friend, Rosemary McKinley of Sioux City; and her beloved dog companion, Lexie.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Della; Terry Wilson; and her dog, Maggie.
