Connie F. Borkowski, 58 of Marcus, Iowa passed away Monday, January 23, 2023. Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Climbing Hill Baptist Church in Climbing Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Connie Faye Borkowski was born December 4, 1964, at a Navy hospital in San Diego, California the daughter of Russell and Barbara (Whiteing) Borkowski. As a daughter of a Military man, Connie’s childhood was one of many moves prior to the family settling in Climbing Hill, Iowa.

On August 8, 1980, Connie married Gayle Morgan and they made their home in Moville, Iowa where they would begin their family, in this union three beautiful daughters were born, April, Jenifer and Trish. Her children were Connie’s greatest accomplishment and most prized possessions.

Connie will be remembered for her great love of her family, her sense of humor and contagious laugh. Her grandchildren brought such joy as she took pride in spoiling them when they were little. Each will carry fond memories of her time with them.

She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures which included the outdoors. Camping was a staple when her girls were young, and all will carry fond memories of their camping adventures. Connie had cultivated a love of fishing as well as the company of her dogs, Tucker and Fox. Over the years some of Connie’s hobbies included bowling on the league and tug of war.

Connie is survived by her life partner, Jon Nelson of Macus, Iowa three daughters, April (Jamie) Joy of Washta, Jenifer (Darin) Cleveringa of Lawton, Trish (Matt) Nelson of Moville, nine grandchildren; Hailey Joy, Jaqi (Austin Ronfeldt) Joy, Jaxson Joy, Collin Dunnington, Jersey Dunnington, Keigan Dunnington, Isaac Cleveringa, Ty Nelson, Alex Nelson, great grandson, Baby B, father, Russell Borkowski, two sisters, Dawn (Skip) Neubaum of Moville, Iowa, Sandi (Ken) Boggs of Creston, Iowa, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Borkowski, and her father-in-law, Jerry Morgan.
