Colleen B. Arndt, RN, 59 of Sioux City, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at a local hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Colleen was born on November 13, 1954 in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Kathleen (Kajewski) Jones. She attended catholic schools in Sioux City, and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1973. Colleen later graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing as a registered nurse. In 1977, she was united in marriage to Ralph Arndt.

She worked at the Marion Health Center (later named Mercy) until the mid 1990’s, when she devoted all her time and energy to raising her boys. The family was her main priority in life.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Ralph; her two sons, First Lt. Michael Arndt and his fiancé Liz Hoffman of Sioux Falls and Dr. Richard Arndt and his wife Hilary of Omaha, Nebraska; four brothers, Dale (Mary) Jones, Al (Lisa) Jones, Chuck (Allison) Jones and Lee (Megan) Jones; her sisters, Madonna Jones and her daughter Amy Jones, Kathleen Engleman and Therese (David) Chestnutt; her pet sheltie, Scout; other relatives and many friends.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Cathedral of the Epiphany.
