Coleene Ann Christiansen, 91, of Sioux City, IA, went home to see Jesus on January 22, 2025, surrounded by her family.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Global Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29 from 4-6:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Coleene was born in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Dewy and Verna Hansen. On January 5th Coleene married Everett Christiansen at Whitfield United Methodist Church in Sioux City. To this union, six children were born. For the better portion of her life, she was a stay-at-home mother.  For the next 27 years Coleene was a baker for Briar Cliff College.  She retired in 1995, after which she enjoyed spending time with family and being involved in many church activities. She was a member of the Riverside cribbage league and frequently played cribbage with family and friends.

Coleene is survived by her six children: Kathy Flaugh, Paula Hogan, Diane (Bob) Sorensen, Doug (Dorene) Christiansen, Dennis (Roxanne) Christiansen, and Dean Christiansen, all of Sioux City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; and grandson, Jason Conaway.
