Cody Rodney Wall, 41, entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Elk Point, South Dakota following a lengthy battle with stomach cancer.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at The Pointe Golf & Event Center, 100 Truman Lane, Eld Point, SD. A luncheon will follow. Family and friends are invited to come, share memories, and honor his life.
Cody was born on February 25, 1984 to parents Terry and Debra Wall in Sioux City, Iowa where he grew up with his older brother Dustin. He graduated from West High School in 2002. In his younger years he played baseball, hockey, and he competed in rodeo for Little Britches and Iowa High School Rodeo Association. Cody worked as a dispatcher for Johnson Feed Inc. for more than 20 years.
In 2007, Cody met Amanda Fairbanks, whom he eventually married on October 15, 2011 in Elk Point. Together they built a life and raised their son, Ashton and daughter, Alexis in Elk Point. Family quickly became the center of Cody’s world.
In his spare time, Cody stood proudly in the audience of their children’s activities. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, watching Texas Longhorns and Denver Broncos football, The Cowboy Channel, and attending church activities with the Elk Point Baptist Church.
Faith became an important part of Cody’s life in recent years, and he was baptized on June 29, 2024 — a moment that meant more to him than he often said out loud.
Those left to honor Cody’s memory include his wife Amanda, son Ashton and daughter Alexis; his parents Terry and Debra Wall; his brother Dustin (Angie) Wall with nieces Adrienne and Audrey Wall; grandfather Gary Wall; uncle Brent Wall with cousins Garrett and Casey Wall; uncle Chuck (Mary) Blomberg with cousins Brianna and Shawn (Angela) Blomberg; sister-in-law Shayla Fairbanks with nephew Kallin Mendoza.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Karen Wall; aunt RaeLynn Wall; great-grandparents Gerald and Bess Wall; great-grandparents Milo and Katie Blomberg; and grandparents Darrell and Ada Glau.
