Cletus John Richtermeier, 75, of Sioux City, IA, passed away November 26, 2025 at a Unity Point Hospital after a battle with chronic lung disease. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Cletus was born on November 23, 1950 in Mapleton, IA to Cletus and Elizabeth (Uhl) Richtermeier. Cletus was terminal manager of Dahlin Transport, worked at Truck Haven, and Ruan Transport. He went back to school and became a barber beautician. He owned and operated The Barber Shop on 4th Street in Sioux City and also worked as custodian at Lawton-Bronson school. He loved gardening and planting beautiful flowers.
Those left to honor his memory include his significant other, Kevin Lammers; sisters: Mary Schultz and her children: Steve (Terri) Schultz and their son, Tyler; daughter, Brittni Staben and her sons: Logan, Cameron, and Jaydon; Sue (Dennis) Boucher, Shelly (Palmer) Barton and their children: Elizabeth and Cole; brother, Leo (Candi) Richtermeier and their children, Heather and Jason Martinek and children Emma and Jonah; Hollie (Lance) Jacobson and their daughter Ashlyn; Travis Richtermeier and his daughter, Marley; sister-in-law, Donna Richtermeier and her daughter, Rachel (Joe) Casper and their daughter Micah; ReAnn (Cody) Jaminet and their son, Max; Ryan (Riley) Richtermeier and their children: Collins, Conrad, and Case.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Ray and Arnie Richtermeier.
