Clarence “Oscar” Hamilton Carver Jr., 72, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away November 18, 2024. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Os was born on October 6, 1952, in Wallace, Idaho to Clarence Sr. and Betty (Harvey) Carver. He graduated from Central High School in Spokane, Washington. Os was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Thelma “Sal” Morris on April 7, 1972, in Sioux City, Iowa. To this union they had two children, Jared, and Eric. Os worked as a painter for Siouxland Trailer Sales for over 30 years. Os loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, classic cars, antiques, fishing, playing cards (especially 500), and riding Ragbrai.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons: Jared (JoAnne) Carver and Eric Carver; ex-wife, Thelma “Sal” Carver; grandchildren: Anastasia, Xander, and Skyler; siblings: Stanley (Patricia) Carver, Susan (Larry) Rubida, Sandra (Michael) Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters.
