Cynthia “Cindy” K. Lalumendre, 62, of Sioux City, Iowa, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home.

Celebration of Life Services will begin at 1:00 Saturday, April 1, 2017, and from 1:15pm till 4:00pm will be the visitation and lunch at the Sergeant Bluff Senior Center in Sergeant Bluff. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Cynthia was born January 20, 1955 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Herman and Bernice (Sheets) Fickbohm. She grew up in Sioux City attending Sioux City Public Schools and receiving her Associates Degree from WITCC. Cindy married Michael Lalumendre March 2, 1975. Together they made their home near Sergeant Bluff for a short time before moving to Sioux City.

Cindy loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going camping, playing the slot machines, spending time outside near water and her dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Lalumendre; son, David and a daughter, Jamie; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Morgan; 3 sisters, Sharon (Gary) Maher, Judy (James) Smith, and Laurie (Jamie) Betsworth; mother-in-law, Bonnie Lalumendre; a sister-in-law, Linda (Raymond) Johnston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Michael Fickbohm; father-in-law, Donald Lalumendre; and a sister-in-law, Donna Jean Lalumendre.
