Cindy Lou Johnson, 59, of Jefferson, SD, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Cindy was born on July 30, 1958 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of Howard and Doris (Henderson) Wood. Cindy's father was in the US Navy and the family often moved with the military. She graduated from Helix High School in San Diego, California, and finally
settling in Sioux Falls, SD. Cindy married Robert Horner and together they had three children, Jeremey, Joshua, and Crystalyn. Cindy and Robert later divorced. Cindy moved to Sioux City where she met Wayne Westly. They married in June of 2017 after being together for 10 years.
Cindy enjoyed traveling, watching football, especially the 49ers, fast cars, corvettes, and selling items on the internet. Most importantly, Cindy loved to laugh.
Survivors include her parents, Howard and Doris Wood of Sioux Falls, SD; husband, Wayne Westly of Jefferson, SD; children, Jeremey Horner and his wife Kerri of Sioux Falls, Joshua Horner and his wife Amanda of Centennial, CO, and Crystalyn Westbrook of Brandon, SD; brothers, Mark Wood and his wife Teresa, and Jim Wood; and grandchildren, Ben, Abi, Hexton, Nate, Mady, and Liam.
