Christopher Henry Greer, 67, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at a local hospital, surrounded by those who loved him. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Sioux City on Friday, August 1 at 11 a.m.

Chris was born on August 26, 1957, in Sioux City to Henry and Helen Greer. He was a proud student at Briar Cliff College and later served his country with honor in the United States Army. Chris carried that same spirit of dedication and resilience throughout his life.

He was married for many years to Julie Parkinson, and together they built a life filled with love and family. Chris was a devoted father who found his greatest joy in his children: James, Joshua, Jordan, Charlotte, and Christopher Greer Jr. He never missed a chance to share a story, lend a hand, or offer a laugh—his warmth and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Chris is lovingly remembered by his children and former wife, Julie Greer. He is now reunited with his beloved mother Helen, daughter Charlotte, sister Patricia, brothers Mike and Henry Jr. whose memory he cherished throughout his life.

Though his time here has ended, Chris's legacy of love, service, and family lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
